Zodiac & Dinghy Rentals, Captained Powerboat charters, and snorkel gear right in Cruz Bay between The Rum Hut and High Tide.
Low Key Watersports
This full-service dive shop has been taking tourists and locals on SCUBA trips all around the Virgin Islands for almost 40 years. With 2 new dive boats (Hey Now and Phoenix) purchased after Irma and Maria wrecked their previous two, they typically run morning and afternoon dive trips daily for certified divers or interested guests who want to do a Discovery SCUBA Dive to see whether they would enjoy getting certified.
Low Key’s retail shop also rents snorkel gear & beach things and sells bathing suits and clothing.
ZoZo's at Caneel Bay
Carolina Corral
While the Corral does not have the beach horse ride established as of mid-2019, they do offer fun activities for adults and children including learning how to groom, saddle, and ride, as well as young children’s (under 8 yrs old) half hour ride.
Busy Bee Watersports
The east end’s dive shop, Busy Bee has a small retail store in Coral Bay just across the street from Skinny Legs. They have snorkel gear rentals and are a full dive shop with almost daily trips out SCUBA diving in and around the east side of St. John.
Ocean Runner USVI
Ocean Runner is sort of a sister company to Low Key Watersports that works out of the same office on the waterfront in Cruz Bay, just behind DR!NK bar. Ocean Runner has a 35’ Scarab and multiple Contender power boats available for captained day charters for 10-12, as well as 3 x 15’ Boston Whalers that fit 4 people. Hire a captained charter to take you and your group all around the British and/or US Virgin Islands for a day or get a smaller Whaler to tool around St. John’s North Shore beaches with 3 others.
Lime Out
The mini nautical version of Lime Out, this floating taco shack & bar is towed into Hansen Bay each day and opens at 11am serving delicious drinks and some of the best tacos you will find in the Virgin Islands. Boats pull up alongside, dinghies come over from nearby charter sailboats and most importantly, St. John visitors can drive out to Hansen Bay, pay the $3 fee for parking, and rent a kayak or paddle board (or bring a previously rented one from say Virgin Islands Expedition Co.) and paddle out. Sit yourself on one of the underwater seats or belly up (under water) to the floating platform, order a drink and some tacos, and enjoy a truly unique St. John experience. Think of it as a deuced up Angel’s Rest mixed together with Soggy Dollar Bar.
Great Cruz Bay
Just one bay west of Chocolate Hole, Great Cruz Bay is surrounded by island villas and the Westin Resort. The beach was man made but hosts multiple water sport activities from boat charters to paddle boards.
Friends of the National Park Store
