North Shore Deli

Conveniently located in Mongoose Junction, North Shore Deli is open every day for breakfast and lunch. It’s our favorite place to grab a sandwich or two for the beach, and maybe a rum punch. They also make great breakfasts, as well as salads and desserts. A tip - make time to get a sandwich or two on go-home day, beats airport food and makes going home a little easier.

18 64

Focusing on top quality seafood, 18 64 is currently being built in the far north end of Mongoose Junction shopping center, in the space previously occupied by Ocean Grill (next to North Shore Deli). Brought to you by the same crew who started and manage Extra Virgin Bistro.

18 64 opened in early July 2019 and is open for lunch from 11a - 2p, raw bar 3p - 5p, and dinner 5:30p onward. The bar is open from 11a - dinner.

Yogi Taxi

With his new Transit 14-passenger van and a focus on giving guests a great arrival and departure experience, Yogi is one of our preferred custom taxi drivers on St. Thomas. For arrivals, if your timing is right, Yogi can meet you as you enter baggage claim and whisk you over to Crown Bay for the 3:30 or 5:30 direct InterIsland Boat Services ferry to Cruz Bay. He can also be there for you for your departure if you catch the 11am out of Cruz Bay “Creek” Dock.

We met Yogi again just before Hurricane Dorian and he showed me around his van. It fits 14 with their luggage and he said he would love to take Great Expectations guests to Crown Bay or Red Hook.

Calabash Market

The ‘last’ grocery store when leaving Coral Bay to head to the far south east shore. Calabash has a nice selection of food, drinks, and groceries. A prefect stop to load up the cooler when headed out to the far out beaches like Salt Pond, Grootpan, and Great & Little Lameshur beaches.
